In the Press - Food Network Magazine

Well this was exciting!  I was contacted by Food Network Magazine and asked to make cookies that represent Maryland at Christmas time.  The cookies had to be on 4" rounds.  I was to make two different designs, sending 6 of each.

I decided on Santa crabs with two different backgrounds.

Here he is at the beach......

And here he is with part of the Maryland flag behind him.....

They ended up choosing the beach scene to publish.

The feature was entitled "Sugar Cookie USA".  There was one cookie representing each state.  The cookies were amazing!  You can see all of them here.

My five minutes of fame.  :)

These cookies were made for a bridal shower for a pharmacist.  Funny cookie combo!

The hearts on these calendars is different than the way I usually do them.  Usually it's just the outline of a heart.  High in the sky, on the way to Cookie Con, my new friend Kym showed me photos of her cookies.  This is the way she does her hearts.  I like these much better!  Thanks Kym!

The pill cookies were put into real pill pouches from the drug store.  How cute is that?
