Tennis Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing - Tennis Balls

This is how I usually decorate tennis ball cookies.....

A friend of mine suggested using sanding sugar to give them that tennis ball texture.  Much better!

Orioles and Yankees Cookies

Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing - Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees

The Orioles had quite a season!  I wish it had ended differently, but it was still exciting!

These cookies were made for a baseball loving couple's wedding.

I don't sell cookies based on copyrighted/trademarked designs, so these aren't for sale.  There are always other coordinating designs that we can come up with.  Cookies may be purchased through my website.

Tennis Ball Cookies

Sugar Cookies Decorated with Royal Icing - Tennis Balls

It's nice to do a super simple design once in a while!

These cookies are 2" rounds and were to be used as cupcake toppers.  How cute would that be?

Sports Jersey Cookies

It's the end of the season. Time to celebrate with cookies.

Each player will get a cookie with her number.

We can't forget coaches and managers!  They each get one too!

Team Spirit Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing

I made these cookies to put into the local bakery.

Middletown Knights jerseys and pennants.

The jersey cookies sold pretty quickly.  Not so much with the pennants.  Next time: jerseys only.

Engagment Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing Glaze

I've done three sets of engagement cookies in the recent weeks.

But first, here's one that I did many months ago, but never posted. The design for the cookie on the top right came from here.  Sweet stick figure engagement couples.  I made rolled royal icing roses for the girls' hair.

The ones below, I just made recently.  It was for a Maryland crab feast engagement party!  That's the "save the date" calendar that I've done a few times.  I love it.  The design is Haniela's.

My calendars came out much better this time.  I used the Kopykake for the lines instead of free-handing.  I also used dragees for the engagement ring instead of sugar as I did above.

And one more stick figure set. . .

These are a little different, huh?  It was for my cousin's engagement party.  The party and the wedding have a football theme.  I merged the dress cut outs with mini football cut outs.  I love that the footballs are pink.  Very girly.

Team Sugar Cookies - Tennis Balls, Pennants and Megaphones

Sugar cookies decorated with royal icing for the tennis team!

My neighbor's daughter plays high school tennis. Parents provide snacks to the players on game days to keep their energy up during those long matches that they're not playing. My neighbor asked me to make cookies to go along with some healthier snacks. Yay!

The pennants and megaphones were fun to decorate.

OK, so they don't have cheerleaders shouting through megaphones for tennis teams, but they should! Megaphones aren't exactly associated with tennis, but I thought they'd be a fun "Go Team!" addition.

You'd think that tennis balls would be super simple to decorate, huh?

I think these were too yellow. I added just a touch of green, but was afraid to go too far with it.

The white piping lines should have been wider. I used a #2 tip. Should have been a #3.

I put sets of 2 into cello bags.

I was told that the girls and coaches enjoyed them. Score!
