Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing - Jungle Animal Baby Shower

Sweet jungle animal cookies for a bridal shower - lions, monkeys and giraffes.

The umbrella cookies remind me of showers my family had when I was a kid.  There was always a paper umbrella decoration.  Always.  :)

Baby Shower Sugar Cookies

Sugar Cookies Decorated with Royal Icing for Baby Showers

This is a catch up post on cookies I've done recently for baby showers.

Twins!  I was so pleased with how these came out.  The sleeping baby faces.  Love!  The soft colors.  It all seemed to work.

A baby boy shower.  Onesies with bow ties.  Bottles.

My favorite - horses.  I always enjoy decorating horse cookies.  Notice the dough between the legs?  I added that to these because they were to be shipped.  I thought that the legs were too fragile, so that was my fix.  Someone mentioned on facebook that they look like rocking horses.  With the added dough - they could be!  Maybe next time!

Mini crab cookies for a Lily Pulitzer themed baby shower with Mom-to-be from Annapolis.  Cute combo theme!

And jungle animals with sweet pink bows and eyelashes for a baby girl.

These jungle animal cookies were made for a baby shower.  Little pink bows for a sweet baby girl soon to arrive.

The tags, as always, were designed by Blank Canvas Creative. She always does an amazing job!

Catching Up

Here are a variety of cookies that I've made over the last few months that I just haven't gotten to posting.

Corporate logo cookies and snowflakes for a company holiday party.  I was a little intimidated at first, but the logos came out okay.

Christmas cookies in a jar.  I put these in Maggie's Bake Shop to be sold.

Snowmen faces and snowflakes for a holiday party.

Christmas ornament cookies.  The marbling on these was really fun to do.  I took 100 these to "Christmas in the Valley".  The kiddos went around to all of the tables with stockings to be filled with goodies from each business.  These were my contribution.  The kids were so cute and polite with their open stockings.  Fun!

These were almost the death of me.  300 medical themed cookies.  ON STICKS!  The "Big Girl Panty" cookie was for one of the RNs.  Inside joke apparently.  For some reason, it felt like I just couldn't catch a break while decorating.  Everything seemed to go wrong and those stupid sticks just get in the way.  It all worked out in the end and I was ready to celebrate once they were out of my hands.

Just a few Scrabble cookies spelling out "Heather".

These were giraffe cookies for a Sweet Sixteen party.  Thank heavens for Sugarbelle! When I got the request, I immediately thought of her cookies.  I would have been lost without her tutorial.

Sweet teddy bear cookies for a baby shower.

And......the oven.  Ah, the oven at Maggie's.  Baking in this thing is awesome.  FULL sheet pans and multiple racks.  Baking those 300 medical cookies wasn't so bad!

That's it.  I'm all caught up.  I have big plans for 2013.

Happy New Year!

Vintage Pattern Embroidered Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing

Mr KopyKake and I had a fabulous date last Saturday night. I already showed you the embroidered cat and knitting cookies that we created together.

Here are three more designs that we worked on. These are from vintage patterns.

Super adorable monkey!

Sweet little bluebird.

Too cute Scottie dogs.

I took the liberty of adding the vines and berries (or are those flower buds?).  I may have gone a bit overboard there.

Gotta love those vintage embroidery patterns!

You can see all of my embroidered cookies here.
