Tutorial - How to Make Candy Melt Bark with Sugar Stamps

How to Make Candy Melt Bark with Sugar Stamp Design Sheets

Making candy melt bark is soooo easy!  Using Sugar Stamp design sheets makes them adorable!

Supplies Needed:
Bright White Candy Melts
Sugar Stamp Design Sheets
Sprinkles (optional)

Place the Sugar Stamp sheet on a cookie tray.  Shiny side of the sheet down.  Rough side of the sheet up.

Place candy melts in a piping bag or bowl.  Melt candy melts in the microwave - slowly according to package directions.  You need heat to transfer the design.  Be sure that the melts are warm to the touch.

Immediately pipe or pour the candy melts on top of the Sugar Stamp sheet.  (I just used part of a sheet for this.  You could cover the entire sheet.)

Tap the cookie tray to be sure that the chocolate is touching the sheet completely and to smooth the top surface.

Immediately add sprinkles if desired.

Allow to cool and harden. Place in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes if you're the impatient type.

Once cool, simply peel the chocolate from the design sheet.  As you can see, the design lifts off onto the chocolate.

Break up the chocolate.  Place bark on a plate or into treat bags.

There is no taste or texture added to the bark when using Sugar Stamps.  The only thing added is cuteness!

Tutorial - How to Make Meringues with Sugar Stamp Design Sheets

How to Use Sugar Stamps to Make Meringues

Meringues are a beautiful, sophisticated, heavenly dessert.  I didn't know they could be improved upon until Sugar Stamps came into my life.  Now your meringues can have beautiful designs transferred right onto the bottom of each one.

Do not be afraid to make meringues!  Many recipes call for you to whisk the egg whites over a bain marie (double boiler) or to pour in hot sugar syrup while whisking.  Don't let those methods scare you away! There are many fabulous recipes out there where you simply whip egg whites and granulated sugar together.  Easy and they come out beautifully!

I used this recipe from The Kitchn.

Start by laying your Sugar Stamp design sheets onto a large baking sheet.

Whip up the meringue according to the recipe.  For some of the meringues, I simply cut the tip off of a filled piping bag.  I also used a bag fitted with 2D Wilton tip.  A 6B would be even better.

If you won't be using the whole Sugar Stamp sheets, cut them down to just what you need.  You can pipe some onto parchment paper to leave a few bottoms plain.

Lightly sprinkle some white nonpareils or sanding sugar on some of them.

Bake the meringues.  Peel them from the design sheets.  The designs  are magically transferred!  It's so fun to peel them up to have a look.

Aren't they adorable?  They were so easy to make.

The taste is absolutely amazing!  Sugar Stamps don't add any taste or texture to the meringues.  The designs are basically made from starch, sugar, and food coloring.  It just melts right into the meringues (and in your mouth!).

Manicures and Cookies

I make a lot of Washington, DC themed cookies.

The White House, Washington Monument, the Capital.....

Of course pandas and cherry blossom cookies are often part of those sets.

When I saw these panda and cherry blossom nail wraps from Jamberry, I had to have them.  The fact that they're made in a junior size?  That didn't stop me.  It was a close call though.  A kid can get two nails done from of each wrap.  Luckily I was able to get one nail from each wrap.

Love.
