I've been making a lot of engagement rings lately.  I guess wedding season is upon us!

The last order had some other shapes mixed in....The date calendar (Haniela's design) and a wedding gown.  I love the simple grey/white color scheme for this whole collection.

My cousin Meghann, from Blank Canvas Creative, creates custom tags for my customers.  She designs them, I print them out and attach them to favor bags.  She's good, huh?  The tags are always amazing!

Wedding Sugar Cookies

My sister got married last weekend and of course I made cookies for the reception. She chose the shapes and the colors and asked for about 110 cookies. Pretty much free reign. Love that.

My Dad and niece helped. My Dad flooded every single heart and quite a few of the large flowers. My niece did some flooding and piped all of the small flowers. They were a HUGE help!

My niece also made 200 cupcakes! And they were amazing! Lots of different cake flavors, fillings and icing flavors. Very impressive. I wish I had a photo of them.

Bridal Shower Cookies - Hearts and Gowns

I had a request for wedding gown and flower heart cookies for a bridal shower.  Actually, I was sent a photo of these gorgeous cookies by The Sugar Tree.

I asked her if I could copy them and she sweetly agreed.  I made a few changes - the shape of the gown cutter is slightly different.  I chose to make just two flowers on the hearts.  I wanted to show more of one flower and balance it with less of a flower on the opposite side.

The tops of the gowns are covered in sanding sugar.  I really wish I had dropped that sugar pearl just below the lavender belt to cover up that little glob there.

The flowers on the hearts are brush embroidery.  I love doing that technique but still need practice, even after 25 of them for this order, they're still not exactly how I'd like them.  Pretty though.

Engagment Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing Glaze

I've done three sets of engagement cookies in the recent weeks.

But first, here's one that I did many months ago, but never posted. The design for the cookie on the top right came from here.  Sweet stick figure engagement couples.  I made rolled royal icing roses for the girls' hair.

The ones below, I just made recently.  It was for a Maryland crab feast engagement party!  That's the "save the date" calendar that I've done a few times.  I love it.  The design is Haniela's.

My calendars came out much better this time.  I used the Kopykake for the lines instead of free-handing.  I also used dragees for the engagement ring instead of sugar as I did above.

These are a little different, huh?  It was for my cousin's engagement party.  The party and the wedding have a football theme.  I merged the dress cut outs with mini football cut outs.  I love that the footballs are pink.  Very girly.
